Stepladder Ranch & Creamery | Cambria Wedding Planner | Styled Shoot

Our team at Amanda Holder Events recently designed and planned a styled wedding shoot for Stepladder Ranch & Creamery, an up-and-coming venue in the hills of Cambria, California. The property overlooks vibrant green hills, California’s famous Highway 1, and of course, the Pacific Ocean. Stepladder Ranch is known for its versatility, with several different backdrops for ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception, each more unique than the last. It sets modern industrial spaces against classic farm rustic settings. The overall goal of the shoot was to showcase contrast, diverse colors, and challenge the notion of “traditional weddings.” With this in mind, our design incorporated mixed metals, neutral-yet-bold florals, and modern rental pieces.

Blake and Dustin, of SLOtography, were the ideal photography & videography team for this shoot. They captured all the tender moments between our brides and the range of vibrant colors at the venue perfectly. Nikki of Fluid Bloom Designs wanted to use her flowers as a representation of diversity, thus including various skin-toned pieces. All dresses worn for this shoot were provided by The Meadow, our favorite consignment shop in San Luis Obispo. Serena was able to match each woman to a dress that perfectly fit her personality, not just her body. And last but certainly not least, our bridal models, Leah and Bailey, have a blissful, honest relationship that brought a newfound light to this hilltop destination.
