The White Barn Edna Valley | San Luis Obispo Wedding Designer | Styled Shoot

Our first of two styled shoots in 2019 could not possibly have gone better! The goal of this shoot was to combine the high-fashion culture of Western Europe with the “rustic elegance” feel of California’s Central Coast, while creating a color palette rarely found in spring weddings. We wanted to showcase some favorite Central Coast vendors in a way they had never experienced before. Back in November, Amanda traveled to Paris, London, and Edinburgh and was so inspired by the museums and window displays that lined their streets. She saw hanging cage displays with small birds, vintage floral designer dresses, embroidered pillows, floral headpieces on mannequins, and jewel-toned macaroons. Our team worked hard to incorporate something special from each of these pieces into our styled shoot.

Our bride wore a fitted Casablanca gown, perfectly suited for the look and feel of this shoot. Her dress was covered in floral lace with pearl accents and a sweeping train. The mesh fabric in the back gave the illusion of an open back and a more exposed neckline. Her headpiece and bouquet featured garden roses, rosemary, purple wheat, ranunculus, seeded eucalyptus, lemon leaf, and more!

The tabletop settings from All About Events include pieces from their new collection, specifically the wooden chargers, embossed white china, and white farmhouse table. Their amber debutante vintage goblets and modern gold flatware were staple pieces and finally, the BBJ Linen wine velvet napkins provided the perfect pop of color to tie our vision together!

The shoot turned out better than we could have ever hoped, and we have our fantastic team of vendors to thank for that. The White Barn provided a rustic contrast to our very eclectic color palette while Ricardo of Elegant Details Flowers took our vision and ran with it, lending centerpieces, arch installs, and headpieces beyond our wildest dreams. Anna Delores Photography captured everything from the tiny butterfly details to the rolling hills and ceremony backdrop. Fox Jump Cinematics stole small, precious moments throughout the day, all of which culminated into a beautiful film. Hands-down our favorite part of this shoot, though, was how much FUN we had working with all these vendors! Behind the scenes, we were all cracking jokes and stuffing our faces with a giant macaron cake from the lovely and talented Libby at Just Baked Cake Studio! Cheers to perfect shoot-day weather and community over competition!
