Flying Caballos Ranch Wedding | San Luis Obispo Wedding Coordinator | Kirsten & Adam

Another Cal Poly love story! Kirsten and Adam met early in their college careers because Kirsten’s brother, Kyle, was on the Cal Poly Mustangs baseball team, just like Adam! According to the parents and friends of the bride, from the day they met, Kirsten couldn’t stop talking about “this Adam Melker character.” From the other side of the aisle, Adam’s friends and family revealed that Adam had a crush on Kirsten all throughout college, but out of respect for her brother and his teammate, held back on asking her out. Fast forward a few years after graduation, Kirsten and Adam reconnected, went away together for a weekend, and the rest is history!

As many couples do, this bride and groom wanted to tie the knot in the same place their love story began. They selected the beautiful Flying Caballos Ranch, with its newly finished modern barn and indoor event space. The upper ceremony site and yellow historic ranch house provided beautiful pastel backgrounds for this springtime wedding. The guests ventured down the hill for a delicious dinner cooked and served by the amazing Flora & Fauna Fine Food team! This wedding had a bright, beautiful aesthetic captured by Shannon McMillen, a fantastic photographer and dear friend of Amanda’s. Lori Boe Floral brought warm, bold spring colors to each floral arrangement. And of course, Epic Entertainment gave the guests fun photo booth souvenirs to take home at the end of the party!

Adam’s two brothers kept everyone laughing during their co-best-men speeches, and the father of the bride’s tears sealed his sentimental toast for everybody. (Trust me, I had to pull out a tissue… or five). The sweetest moment of the day, though, was during the very last song, the guests formed a circle around Adam & Kirsten, where they simply held each other in a tight embrace, soaking in the last moments of their wedding reception.
