Rachell and I first met through the Leadership SLO program a few years back. We joined forces with 34 other classmates to learn all about the inner workings of the community in which we live. We had a blast in the program and formed a friendship in the process. In fact, I distinctly remember Rachell saying to me that when she got engaged she would be sure to hire me to plan her wedding. So, when Shea and Rachell came to me and told me they were planning on getting married, I could not have been more thrilled.
Interestingly enough, Rachell and I got together pre-engagement at their house for a great meal and some wedding chit-chat. Shea felt a little left out, so he and I grabbed a beer separately to talk about his own plans. How cute is that?!?
When Shea popped the question, I was one of the first people Rachell called, and we were off-and-running with wedding plans!
At Rachell’s shower, I heard from woman after woman what an incredible woman and friend she was, so much so, that it brought tears to my eyes. Just being in the presence of all of this showering of love was amazing!
Their beautiful La Cuesta Ranch wedding had so many personal touches – from the milk glass Rachell’s mom had been collecting over the years for her centerpieces, to the choreographed first dance…there wasn’t a dry eye in the barn that day.
We had the pleasure of assembling an awesome team of vendors who really made our job look easy and we were so happy with the way it all turned out.
But, don’t take our word for it…check out this beautiful video from Stories Told by Film:
