Oceano Dunes Micro-Wedding | San Luis Obispo Wedding Designer | Megan & Ben

Megan & Ben had a 200-person + wedding planned for Ohio that was cancelled due to the ‘rona, so they called on us to design, plan, and coordinate a micro-wedding here on the Central Coast in just a short two months. I mean, we’re always up for a challenge, so we happily took this on!

We set out with our dear friend Yvonne Goll, Megan & Ben’s photographer (and our resident photographer for AHE), to scout some beachy locations for both ceremony and sunset photos. We always love an adventure with Yvonne!

We decided on Oceano Dunes for the ceremony: the perfect mix of beach, waves, and rolling sand dunes, set against the backdrop of the Central Coastline, looking north toward Avila Beach.

Our sweet couple rented two VRBOs: one in Shell Beach, where we did pre-ceremony photos, and one in Avila, where we staged a fabulous outdoor dinner under the bistro lights.

For sunset photos, we surprised Megan & Ben with a private picnic with rentals from Avenue Twelve, charcuterie from Farm & Harvest, and a special bottle of their favorite champagne, Veuve Clicquot. Needless to say, it was epic!

It was such a beautiful day, and Megan & Ben were surrounded by an abundance of love. Definitely one of our favorites!
