Dana Powers House Wedding Reception | San Luis Obispo Wedding Coordinator

A destination wedding in Italy marked the beginning of Viola and Kevin’s married life. They wanted to make sure that Viola’s Italian family could witness their special day, and then they celebrated with a reception in California for Kevin’s side of the family. They chose the Dana Powers House for its California charm and resemblance to the Italian countryside. The afternoon began with a grand entrance into cocktail hour accompanied by the band Hot 45. The guests entertained themselves with lawn games and dancing before enjoying delicious tacos with all the fixings provided by La Parrilla Taqueria. As a surprise to Viola, Kevin had learned Italian for his toast, which impressed all the Italians in the crowd, especially his bride. The couple then opened the dance floor with a special routine. Then, later in the evening, they recreated a clever Tik Tok where they sat in chairs while guests took turns jumping in and out of the frame, which was captured in film by Clair Images. For dessert everyone enjoyed Sugar Lips Mini Donuts, and to take care of their chocolate fix, the bride and groom sent everyone home with a luscious box of chocolates.

Love Letter: “Wow, just wow! Amanda Holder’s team did such an incredible job making our dream wedding a reality. My wife and I had already tied the knot in her hometown of Bologna, Italy a year prior, but we wanted to have a wedding reception with all the Americans that couldn’t make it out. That meant throwing a giant bash for 160+ attendees with only 3 months of planning!

Since it was such a short turnaround, we knew we needed a coordinator to help us reach the finish line in time. During our first meeting, Amanda immediately put our mind at ease. She introduced us to our primary coordinator, Sarah Hayes, and she couldn’t have been better! Sarah not only set up a very useful checklist to keep us on track, but she also made herself completely available to answer our never-ending list of questions along the way. Not to mention, she helped us securing vendor contracts as well.

And most importantly, she was on-site with her team the day of to ensure that everything ran smoothly. Multiple guests later remarked that they’ve never been to a wedding where “not one single thing went wrong.” We know that this couldn’t have been possible without Sarah and Amanda’s organization, tireless work ethic, and flawless day-of execution.
