Higuera Ranch Wedding | San Luis Obispo Wedding Coordinator | Tuva & Jacob

Tuva came to the U.S. as a foreign exchange student from Norway. Little did she know that she would meet her future husband at the high school she would be attending! What began as a friendship between Tuva and Jacob, eventually turned into romance and then marriage. Jacob studied at Cal Poly, so San Luis Obispo became a favorite place for the couple to visit. Thus, they decided on Higuera Ranch as the ideal spot for their wedding. Many guests came all the way from Norway to attend, and were quickly impressed by the beauty of the area. The ceremony was on the house lawn under a beautiful arch adorned with flowers of pink, orange and white, created by a family friend. Guests then showered the couple with white flower petals as they made their way back down the isle as husband and wife. Everyone was then treated to delicious appetizers and creative cocktails with edible flowers from Rib Line Catering. After their introduction and first dance, Tuba and Jacob participated in what was called a “Photo Dash,” where they went around and took a photo with the guests at each table. A plated dinner and toasts came next, followed by a cake cutting and desserts from SLO Delicious. DJ LaDell spun the tunes for special dances and guests joined in to close out the night, but not before a clever group photo was taken from the barn loft. Another fun addition to the evening was a song performed by Tuva’s sisters, and there was also a sweet presentation earlier of a custom tie for each father that had a picture of them and Tuva or Jacob as a baby.
